A 5-Year Manufacturer's Warranty on a Used Piano?

When Artist Pianos receives a good used Yamaha piano in trade or on consignment, we certify it for Yamaha's Heirloom Warranty Protection.

Pianos that are certified are no older than twenty-five years and have passed a rigorous 22 point inspection as required by Yamaha. In addition, several pictures are taken of key components and submitted to Yamaha before final acceptance. Gray market Yamaha pianos are not eligible for Heirloom Warranty Protection. 

Used Yamaha pianos with Heirloom Warranty Certification are the safest used piano purchase you can buy, because warranty protection from the manufacturer includes replacement as an option. 

The truth is, most Yamaha pianos never develop warranty issues, which include defects in materials or craftsmanship, but it is a good feeling to know you are covered if they do.

Our only personal experience in recent memory with a major warranty issue was on a used Yamaha upright piano that was 6 years old when it was sold. The piano developed a buzz that, after three attempts to fix it, we determined that there was something structurally wrong with the piano. After submitting all the proper paperwork to Yamaha, it was decided that the piano should be replaced and our customers received a new piano of the same make and model! Read our customer's comments.
